Beyond the Stage holds honest and truthful reflections of difficult periods in musician Gayle Ackroyd's life, but these are not the main theme. The book is really about the passion she holds for her music and how, in spite of life’s challenges, she never veers off the path. It was always music, and the rest of life rode along beside that one true passion. With an optimistic and accepting attitude, she takes a deep breath and keeps moving forward.
