Dean Curtis is a Guelph-based writer who enjoys telling stories that blend suspense, emotion, and a touch of the unexpected. He writes across genres, with a particular interest in character-driven stories that explore relationships, choices, and the moments that change everything.
He has completed an upper middle grade contemporary fantasy novel,The Idiom Stones, which is currently out on submission. He is also working on an adult psychological thriller, currently titledCamp Reclaim.
Dean is the November 2025 winner of Gotham Writers Workshop’sStories Everywherecontest, and he currently has three short stories out on submission.
Outside of writing, Dean works as a real estate professional in Guelph, where he enjoys helping people navigate big life decisions—an experience that often finds its way into his storytelling.
