Emma's Challenge
Emma's Challenge
Donna Mann
Emma Taylor, recently widowed, finds herself in a dire situation with no home and only modest funds left by her late pastor husband. Although women didn’t receive acceptance or a welcome into the working world during her era of education, Emma had worked for over twenty years alongside her husband. Surely that provided the necessary experience. However, she lacked the contacts needed for employment. Facing poverty, she drew on the call God had placed on her life many years ago. Could she, as a woman, offer her love for God and people by serving the church? Emma's Challenge takes the reader through a personal span of grief and shows how her inner strength, strengthened by scripture, responses to obvious needs at Memorial Church.
