Fostered by Grief is Roblynn Hunnisett's deep personal story of loss, love, and the unexpected journey that followed.

Grief changed Roblynn. It changed how she saw the world, how she understood love, and how she moved through each day. She never imagined that, in the middle of her own grief, she would open her home and her heart to children who were carrying losses of their own.

She entered knowing nothing about what she was doing as a foster parent. She learned as Ishewent through sleepless nights, difficult moments, laughter, attachment, heartbreak, and the uncertainty that comes with loving a child whose future is not yours to decide.

Every child who came into  Roblynn's home left something behind and took something with them. Some stayed longer than others. Some goodbyes were harder than Roblynn ever expected. Along the way, she discovered that fostering was not just giving children a safe place to land. They were changing her, too.

Fostered by Grief is a story of learning to live with loss while making room for new love. It is about the children who touched my Roblynn's, the lessons they taught her, and how, through fostering, she slowly began to find pieces of herself again.
