Palestine in a Bowl

Palestine in a Bowl

Hiba Sadi

Palestine in a Bowl is a little collection of Palestinian and Palestinian-inspired salads and dips that Hiba Sadi put together from recipes that she grew up with, made, and loved.

The salads started back when she ran a salad ghost kitchen. She wanted to show people that salads don’t have to be a side dish. They can be a whole meal, full of flavour and good ingredients, with plant-based protein, and more than a drizzle of olive oil.

The collection includes the dips that she sells through Olive Haven too, which has been selling at the Guelph Farmers’ Market and through local stores for several years now. And yes, the hummus recipe is in there! with tips for getting it just right and completely oil-free.

This booklet is a way of sharing a little piece of Palestinian culture and heritage with the community in Guelph and beyond. They are recipes you’ll actually make, whether you’re putting together a quick lunch, preparing something to share with friends, or just looking for a new favourite to add to your kitchen.

And because Palestine is always close to Hiba's heart, 10% of the proceeds from this booklet will go towards supporting a family in Gaza.

She hopes tha you enjoy making the recipes as much as she's enjoyed sharing them with you.
