The Blacksmith is the collected poetry of Hereward Kirby Cockin, a poet and journalist who rubbed shoulders with some of the most illustrious Canadian writers of his day. For many years he wrote a column for the Guelph Mercury under the name The Blacksmith. The collection is edited by Ed Butts.
